About The Author

Mark Wayne Allen, a Louisiana native, has been a quadriplegic since 1982 as a further result of a car wreck that happened in 1978. He was age 12 when the car accident happened and only 15 when the head injury happened. He was supposed to die in each accident and be a mental vegetable in 1982.
With God's help and blessing, he lived through of all these events. He is a survivor in the truest sense of the word.
A love of writing is something that he has carried with throughout his life. He has written many short stories and articles, most of which remain unpublished. After completing computer training at Louisiana Tech University his interest became  writing of a different sort: computer programming.
The computer programming filled his life until in 1991 he got a chance to go back to college and get a degree in business management from Louisiana State University.
Still loving to write, between semesters he started writing the novel Star Siege. He wrote the novel over a period of six years and always between semesters. Mark graduated from LSU in 1996 and then finished writing the novel that had became his passion.
It was not until 2013 that the novel was finally published.
Now, he lives in Merryville, Louisiana with his wife Kelley and is a city councilman. He still loves writing fiction and is working on a second novel.
